Sure, if you’ve got the dollars to throw towards a setup like this, the slight misalignment probably isn’t going to be a deal breaker, but I can’t work out why the misalignment is there to begin with. I would have thought that with both the iMac and Cinema Display getting a refresh last night it would have been the perfect opportunity to make the relevant change required to get the two displays to sit at the same height. And yes, perhaps the image I’ve pulled from Apple’s site isn’t 100% accurate, but hopefully you can see my point. In any case, my 24-inch Cinema Display now feels undersized and inferior.

I have this same setup and issue at work. I have looked ALL over the internet and haven’t found a solution, like a stand or whatever. It is exactly 0.9 cm lower. I have a book under it now to level them and it works great. I was thinking about cutting some wood to match and maybe give it a cool stained paint job to match my wood panel wallpaper. Let me know if you find a solution to this issue.
I have this setup and the misalignment isn’t all that bad. I could put a book under the display but that would just look trashy. It is only off by about an inch but because the size of the display’s are so huge you never notice it. Hope this helps.
Um, an inch is A LOT. I’m sorry, but as a visual designer (and self-proclaimed perfectionist) this would drive me crazy. Not only that, but one of the big reasons I love Apple so much is that they make their products looks incredible by paying attention to these details… usually.

You are right, they should be the same height. This is what Apple need to pay attention to.
The only solution I can think about is WallMount. But anyway, I need to hold off my purchase to find the real solution for this.

i7 27″ plus CD27” = 2x i3 27″ the better solution.
