Good fun, and actually better than I was expecting. I guess you would call this a “spin-off” from Forgetting Sarah Marshall since it features Russell Brand playing the same whacked-out rock star (Jonah Hill is also in both movies, but playing different characters — this can be overlooked though because continuity is hardly an issue in this genre…). Brand, for someone who is supposedly ‘sober’, plays ‘off his nut’ a little too well.
