Jeffrey Zeldman: Unprofessional Trumps Dispassion

There are people who are so professional that they can work on something they don’t care about, and I always feel somewhat unprofessional because I can’t do that.

Jeffrey Zeldman

Working on something I don’t care about, that sounds like the last 10 months of my life.

  1. If you can – give it up.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about but I could only guess.

So (I’m guessing), if it’s near impossible for you to give up think of an exit. Took me a while to get out of my last job. Or if a project just throw your hands up and give it to someone/everyone to take care of if there’s still a desire to support/build it. That’s what I’ve had to do with some of my plugins– “your plugin broke my templates” emails are killing me slowly.

You’re a smart guy you’ll figure it out.
